Now in its 24th year, The GC50 Run Festival has been an annual event since its inception in 1997. Its breathtaking coastal course has seen the event as a regular favourite among the Gold Coast running community over the years. Following a sell-out 2019, the GC50 Run Festival now invites you to #RUNWITHUS this December at the new course on the southern end of the Gold Coast at Coolangatta.
The GC50 Run Festival utilises the footpaths adjacent to the Gold Coast beachfront, home of the world’s most attractive beaches. Make a weekend of it in Coolangatta with the 5km and Kids Dash taking place on Saturday afternoon, followed by the 15km, 30km and 50km events, as well as the 2 x 25km relay taking place on Sunday.

The Start/Finish venue for all distances is Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta. When entering the address into maps or navigation devices, we recommend entering 60 Marine Parade, Coolangatta.
The 50km course will utilise a two lap format for 2020, with each lap measuring 25km. Runners will head north and run to the turnaround point in Palm Beach, before turning back and heading south to Coolangatta. To complete each lap, runners will head south to Greenmount, before making their way back to Queen Elizabeth Park to either finish or head out for their second lap.
The 30km event will follow the same two lapped format, with the turnaround point located in Currumbin Alley.
15km runners will complete one lap and turn at the same point in Currumbin Alley as the 30km runners.
Participants in the 5km event, will complete a one lapped course, incorporating a Northern out and back to Kirra, finish off with the south out and back to Greenmount as per other distances.
