Eliminating the Crossover

There are many different styles of freestyle, but one thing that’s common among fast swimmers is they don’t crossover. A ‘crossover’ is when the hand reaches across the head after entering the water. Four huge days of running over tough terrain and under a hot Northern Territory sun have come to an end with Brisbane’s Troy Lum and Deb Nicholl crowned champions of the Run Larapinta Stage Race today. Unseasonably hot temperatures in the 30’s meant the third running of thefour-day, four-stage trail running race along the most spectacular sections of the Larapinta Trail near Alice Springs was the toughest edition in the race’s history. Gadsdon and Baker make it two in a row at Augusta Adventure Fest

Hardy Inlet sparkled as almost 800 paddlers hit the water for the 12thAct-Belong-Commit Augusta Adventure Race this morning in Augusta, with 57kms of off-road adventure up ahead through the wilds of south-west Western Australia. 15-20 knot southeast windsfor the premier race of the weekend meant tricky conditions for the ocean paddling and swim legs, as well as the technical coastal running and mountain biking, but the racing was fast and close at the front. Adventurethon Townsville 2017
