ITU GOLD COAST World Championships 2009

The 2009 ITU World Olympic Distance Triathlon Championships being held on “home soil” is a special and rare occasion, so to celebrate and make sure every athlete has the experience of a lifetime, Tri Travel and Triathlon Australia have secured five great hotels for the host team.

Tri Travel director, Shane Smith, is a Gold Coast local, and in conjunction with TA, has scouted the best locations for the Australian team, four of which are all within 50 metres of each other at famous Main Beach. The fifth accommodation is known worldwide for their child-friendly environment, providing a “Kids Club” that is second to none. Paradise Resort is located close to Surfers Paradise, and the units have a small kitchenette as opposed to the fully self contained units on offer at Main Beach. Gold Coast is famous for – shopping, cafes, restaurants and of course, the beaches.
