Tri Travel has been travelling to the Big Island since 2001 and each year has provided support, logistical solutions, entertainment and valuable advice to over 450 athletes who have toured with the Tri Travel team. The below Tri Travel Tour prices include 10 nights accommodation in Kona, Sydney/Honolulu return economy airfares**, Honolulu/ Kona return airfares, airport/accommodation return transfers, a team dinner, a pre-race team breakfast with Mark Allen, a post-race breakfast with guest speakers to re-cap race day, daily training sessions, course orientation, a spectator’s tour, a race day bus for the spectators to go out to the lava fields, a welcome pack with products from Tri Travel, Power Bar and Scody and experienced staff to help make your Kona experience the best ever.

Kona Pacific (2 Bedroom) $3,420* per person quad share
Kona Pacific (1 Bedroom) $4,120* per person twin share
The Kona Pacific is in a great location on Alii Drive less than a mile from town and the race start. The apartments are fully self-contained of an excellent standard and the 2 bedroom apartments are perfect for two couples sharing, as each bedroom has its own bathroom.
Kona Islander Inn (Studio) $3,640* per person twin share
The Kona Islander has been Tri Travel’s most popular accommodation for many years for the budget-conscious traveller. The studio rooms are close to town and all the action. It is located next to the famous Lava Java coffee shop and offers a pool and BBQ area, as well as a kitchenette.
Kailua Village (1 Bedroom) $3,680* per person twin share
The Kailua Village is located next to the Kona Islander in an ideal position and is a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen. It’s well priced and in a great location and offers excellent value for money.
Royal Kona Resort (Hotel rooms) $3,920* per person twin share
If you prefer to stay in resort-style accommodation with a luxury pool, restaurant, bar area and daily linen change then the Royal Kona Resort is for you. The Royal Kona Resort offers a great location, fantastic views of the ocean including the swim course on race day. Last year a number of athletes stayed there and were very happy with the service and convenience on offer, so Tri Travel has booked a number of rooms to cater for the tour. Several of the tour activities will be held at the function centre of the Royal Kona Resort.

After the race on Monday October 13, 2008, you can return to Honolulu for a few days of rest and relaxation or perhaps even head to one of the other islands such as Maui before your return to Australia on October 15, 2008 (extensions are available subject to availability). Tri Travel can arrange all your after race accommodation, activities and flights.
