Accommodation in Kona
Each year Tri Travel book and hold a large range of accommodation in Kona to assure Australian athletes have the opportunity to secure the accommodation that suits their needs.

All of the accommodation is on Alli Drive and their position is described by the mile markers which are seen along Alii Drive. For example the 2 mile mark is two miles away from the Kailua Pier where the Hawaii Ironman begins.

Kona Reef


The Kona Reef is less than 1 mile from the Kailua Pier and is an easy walk into town. The accommodation features air-conditioning, pool, spa, BBQ area, a washer and dryer and excellent cooking facilities

Kona Pacific


Just off Alii drive (100mteres) the Kona Pacific has quiet tropical grounds, is close to shops and restaurants and has underground parking. Rooms are in excellent condition with all modern amenities. Located just 1km to the Kailua Pier.

Kona Alii


Across the street from the ocean, Kona Alii offers breathtaking sunset and ocean views from its one and two bedroom condominiums. Located in Kailua-Kona, you can walk to all shops and restaurants. The complex offers a large pool, secured elevators, assigned parking, and BBQ area. Each condominium features a washer/dryer, fans, full kitchen, TV/VCR, and a large balcony.

Casa De Emdeko


Located at the 2 mile mark the Casa De Emdenko has its own corner shop, a BBQ area, two swimming pools, great ocean views and a laundry facility.

Kona Islander Inn


Tri Travel’s most popular and affordable accommodation, the Kona Islander is ideal for the budget conscious and for those athletes travelling alone. The Studio rooms have a kitchenette and balcony. There is also a BBQ area available. Situated in the heart of town the Islander is close to the expo, the famous Lava Java and many restaurants. Amenities include a/c, laundry facilities, pool, hot tub, TV and phone.

Kaikea Hale


Slide open the folding doors on the main living area and step out onto a balcony that gives you one of Kona's best ocean front views. This two and half bedroom cottage at the water's edge is just minutes from Kona's farmer's market, and only four miles to shopping, and theatres. Close to restaurants, and beaches where you can sun, surf, snorkel, and boogie board.

This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront house is located at the one mile mark from Kailua Pier. Enjoy oceanfront dining on an open balcony, this house can sleep up to 6 people.  Amenities include washer and dryer, ceiling fan, large kitchen and a microwave.
