About Us

As a result of increasing travel requests from triathletes, Rod Morrison set up Tri Travel as a separate division of his travel agency to specifically meet the travel needs for triathletes. Such was the success of Tri Travel; it has now become a separate travel agency catering for all multi-sport athletes and their partners.

After five years operating Sport 3 Innovations, Tri Travel’s Tour leader Shane Smith now joins Rod Morrison as a partner in the best sports-specific tour company in Australia.

The team at Tri Travel also includes experienced travel agents Tiffany Callaghan and Susan Geall. Together the team at Tri Travel are dedicated to the sport of triathlon and helping you have the best race experience possible from the time you book until the time you cross the finish line

	Rod Morrison Director Rod Morrison has a strong passion for the sport of triathlon and began his association with the sport in 1988, regularly attending triathlon events worldwide. Rod competes in open-water swimming events, and is a 13-time finisher of the famous Lorne Pier To Pub swim. Rod has a particular passion for Ironman events (grown out of his love of endurance events such as the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race which he competed in 7 times), and attends the majority of the Tri Travel Tours with wife and Ironman supporter, Gwenda. Rod has travelled extensively throughout the world, but lists the Pacific Islands as his most favoured and frequented destination.

	Shane Smith Shane Smith is part owner of Tri Travel and the director of Sport 3 Innovations. Shane organises and designs the Tri Travel Tours to Ironman Hawaii, Ironman New Zealand, Ironman Western Australia, Ironman Australia and Ironman Japan. Shane also hosts the Australian team members of the ITU World Championship team. Shane is a retired competitor who has raced throughout the world, including a sixth and seventh placing overall at Ironman Australia with a personal best Ironman time of 8:53. Shane is a former editor of Australian Triathlete and Triathlete magazines and consults to Ironman events in Australia.

	Tiffany Callaghan Originally from Queensland, Tiffany has been in the travel industry for ten years and has travelled extensively within Australia, Europe, New Zealand and Hawaii. Tiffany has a Diploma of Travel and Tourism Marketing and has been at Tri Travel for over three years. Tiffany heads up all the Tri Travel tours and can assist you with your travel to all destinations. Vowing to one day attempt an Ironman, Tiffany has embraced the sport and has become an astute spectator. Away from triathlon and Tri Travel, Tiffany heads to the mountains to indulge in her passion of snowboarding.

	Susan Geall Susan has been in the travel industry for over a decade working for Rod at his previous retail travel agency. Susan has a passion for fitness and health and enjoys the sporting lifestyle that triathlon offers. Susan has volunteered at triathlon events and passionately follows the Geelong Football Club.
